The treasury selection solution
Numa is an independent selection service, backed by a platform that carries you from the first requirement to the decision. Guided scoping, best practice question libraries, a vendor capability matrix, and scoring that traces every number to its source.
How it works
The whole process runs in the platform rather than in a workbook, so nothing is re-keyed and everything it produces is yours to keep.
Start with the shape of your treasury.
We provide the taxonomy and a guided design; you adapt it to what your treasury processes. Everything after this is generated from that design.
Data-driven, evidence-based evaluation.
We provide the questionnaires and demonstration scripts from your design; you refine them against your priorities.
Advanced analytics to drive the decision.
Scoring and AI-driven analysis that makes every response comparable, so you choose the right system, at the right price, with the right partner.
A recommendation you can defend.
The recommendation paper provides the result, how the chosen vendor meets your objectives, and the process that was followed.
Who it's for
The incumbent is end of life, unsupported, or no longer matches the treasury you have become. You need a fair test of the market and a documented rationale for moving.
“A decision you can defend for a decade.”
Growth has outrun manual processes. You need to assess the market, what it costs, and run a structured guided selection.
“A proper selection, at a scale that fits.”
The need is clear; the spend still has to be justified. A structured view of the market, real pricing, and a documented rationale give you a case that holds up.
“A case built on evidence, not estimates.”
Questions
Yes. We take no commission or referral fee from any treasury management system vendor, and we hold no implementation partnerships with them. That is what keeps the process independent.
A fast-track selection can take weeks rather than months. Numa does not shorten the thinking — the process stays structured and diligent — but the libraries remove the work of building it from scratch.
No. On a large transformation an adviser is generally involved, and Numa strengthens what they bring. On a fast-track selection, a treasury that would otherwise have needed outside help can run the process itself.
It checks vendor responses against the question that was actually asked, flags non-answers and contradictions, and makes the whole evidence base searchable. The judgement stays with your team.
Less than a traditional selection, and in a more predictable shape. Requirements are captured in focused sessions against a structured library rather than in open-ended workshops, and the process tells you what is next and who owns it. Your team's time goes into the decisions only they can make.
No. Where a formal RFP cannot be justified there is a shorter, workshop-based path — guided requirements, a shortlist from the capability matrix, demonstration scripts and scored workshops. The depth is proportionate; the evidence is the same shape.
It stays with you. Everything the process produces — the requirements model, the scored dataset, the RFP and the recommendation — is yours, in formats you keep and can open without us.
A fixed fee for the selection, agreed at the outset and time-boxed, so you know the cost before you start. We will scope it after a discovery call.
About us
Treasury technology is at a pivotal point. What these systems can do and what a treasury can reasonably ask of them is changing faster than at any time and AI is accelerating it. Yet the system a company chooses this year is the one it lives with for the next ten.
We have spent fifty years in treasury technology because we find it genuinely interesting: how a treasury works, how that work gets systemised, and what separates a product that fits from one that merely demonstrates well.
Between us we have run a great many selections, and too many of them landed on the wrong system, or on the right system with the wrong partner. The cost of that arrives later — in implementations that stall, and in treasuries that end up implementing twice. It was rarely for want of effort. It was a process rebuilt from scratch every time: requirements from memory, questions written in prose, scores nobody could trace.
We know there was a better way. Numa is that way, with the judgement encoded, the libraries maintained, and the evidence kept from the first requirement to the last.
We understand treasury processes and how the work is really done, day to day, and why it is done that way.
We understand how those processes are systemised, and where a treasury system delivers real value from automation.
We understand selection processes from the vendor’s side of the table, and where they can be run better than they usually are.
We know the inner workings of a treasury system, and we encode that knowledge into our selection platform.
